will forever be in our hearts!!! What an AWESOME festival with an equally AWESOME staff!
The seminars were great, the parties were great, the networking was great, and most importantly, the FILMS were great! We didn't watch a single movie that we thought "how... did that get in?" Each one had us laughing, applauding, on the edge of our seat, and cheering for those filmmakers who worked so hard to bring it to life. I met so many cool filmmakers who were as eager to tell and listen to filmmaking stories as we were.
As for Boys of Summerville... we all had a BLAST! The movie played on Tuesday at 7:15 and we had a big crowd there to get a dose of BoS. The audience was extremely responsive and seemed to really get a huge kick out of the characters in the movie! To be honest... I was very worried about screening because I thought... these LA folks just won't get the humor. But I guess it's true what they say: Funny is funny, no matter where you are!
Actually I'm not sure if "they" say that... but they should!
So, now we're back in good ol' way-too-humid Tennessee, even after a few dilemmas with the flight and luggage. So, now, it's time to wait, cross our fingers, and hope to get into some other fests that promise to be as amazing and rewarding as DWF!
